The 3M™ Clean & Protect Program is a comprehensive program offered to eligible customers that features a full range of cleaning & disinfectant products for use in your facilities along with cleaning and disinfection training through 3M’s exclusive 3M Training Academy. Participants in the program have access to a 3M Clean & Protect badge that certifies to their participation in the program and which can be displayed at their facilities as a sign of commitment to the health and well-being of employees, customers and the community. The program allows for broad customization among facility managers. But it offers much more.
Clean & Protect allows facility managers to verify that their surfaces are clean, using our Clean-Trace™ surface detection tools. It includes 3M graphic films, 3M™ Safety -Walk™ solutions and the know-how to use them, helping Brand Owners and Facility Managers implement and support effective social distancing and wayfinding. This program also includes materials for facility managers to communicate their commitment to safety and cleanliness to returning customers, digitally and on site.
The program is comprised of the following solutions:
1) Cleaning & Disinfecting Products
2) 3M™ Clean-Trace™ Monitoring & Measuring Technology
3) Social Distancing & Wayfinding Graphics
4) 3M™ Cleaning Academy online training.
Customers participating in the program that purchase our cleaning and disinfectant products and take required 3M training for these products are allowed to display the 3M Clean & Protect badge at their facilities or on their website to let customers know that they are certified participants in the program and that they’re using 3M solutions to create a safer environment.
All customers that have a commitment to a clean and safe facility can participate - Healthcare, Education, Retail, Commercial, Restaurants, Entertainment, and other customers with physical locations that require cleaning.
The minimum requirement that a customer must meet in order to qualify as a participant in the program is twofold: 1) purchase of our cleaners & disinfectants and 2) completing the specified training courses on 3M™ Academy. Once the customer has met these requirements, the customer has access to the 3M Clean & Protect Badge.
This is a great way for companies to showcase to stakeholders their strong commitment to a clean and safe environment. By displaying this 3M™ Clean & Protect Certified Program Badge, it demonstrates their partnership with 3M, a leading provider of cleaning and safety solutions, helping create confidence to employees and visitors of the cleanliness and safety of their establishment.
No, if the customer partners with 3M, and meets the minimum qualifications, they can get the physical badges and digital badges for free.
While we recommend 1 or 2 badges per building, the customer can work with their local 3M rep to order in the exact number of badges that they need.
Once the minimum requirements are met and verified, the badges can be sent directly to the customer for you to install them where you see the greatest value.
In order to qualify for the badges, all customers must complete 3 training modules that cover best practices of disinfection, understanding chemical labels properly, and understanding the safety information when using cleaners & disinfectants. These courses are offered to participating customers for free. Customers can create an account and complete these trainings by going to: www.3m.com/cleaningacademy.com , then you need to create an Account & Login. After you need to click “Clean & Protect Training” on the home page and complete all 3 courses”.
If you have your own internal training program or system, it must be approved as an acceptable alternative by your local 3M rep. In the case where it is approved, the training requirement is waived.
Any customers, new and current can participate in this program assuming that they meet the minimum requirements mentioned above.
Yes, additional badges or replacement badges can be ordered by reaching out to your 3M sales representative.
